Masterson’s Tavern , nestled in the bustling area of Moonee Ponds , markets itself as a trendy “hipster” hangout , but my recent visit at this establishment became a nightmarish ordeal . While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I encountered behind its entrance was disgraceful and unfit for any venue.

The Condition of the Premises : Grimy and Neglected Beyond Belief

The counter , which should be the focal point of any pub, was littered with unwashed glassware and trash that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks . Many patrons have reported seeing bugs darting across the counter and evidence of rodent infestations in the storage spaces .
